Knitting Class Descriptions
		Moebius Scarf beginner/intermediate level - $15 + Book This scarf is knit circularly with a twist in it. After mastering the basics of the moebius, you'll have many other ideas and patterns to choose from in this great book! This class is held for 3 two-hour lessons.

		Moebius Bowl intermediate/advanced level - $15 + Book This is a bowl knit circurlarly with three twists in it and then felted! You'll need to take the scarf class first before moving on to this more complicated moebius form. After mastering the moebius, you'll have many other ideas and patterns to choose from in this great book! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Cabled Fall Sweater intermediate level - $25 You'll love the fit of this great cabled cardigan and yes, you're ready to make a sweater!! Make it out of a great worsted weight yarn. I'll be with you the whole way! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Lacey Knit Vest intermediate level - $25 This is a versatile vest which can be worn in summer if the yarn is cotton or rayon, or can be worn beautifully in the cooler months if made out of wool. Lots of fun to work on the lacey design in this stunning piece. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Men's Fisherman Knit Sweater advanced level - $25 Thought you could never knit a sweater like this? Think again!! Together with Susan, you can make this for your favorite man and they'll love it for it's warmth and style. Made with cable stitch, moss stitch, ribbing, and stockinette - you'll be humming in no time! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Top Down Kid Sweater advanced level - $25 This sweater starts at the top with circular needles and goes down into the comfortable raglan sleeves. It goes so fast, you had better have another project ready! It took me about 5 hours to do. No seams on this gem. Made up with ribbing for the neck, cuffs, and bottom edge. The rest is the knit stitch. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Fingerless Gloves - Nippers beginner level - $15 Great for those in band, with arthritis, or just wanting to look a little more stylish, these nippers are the ticket! Knit up quickly with chunky yarn and so warm. Can be made longer too!. Make lots for Christmas! Ribbing and stockinette stitch is all you need here. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Baby Blanket beginner/intermediate level - $15 Learn to make a sweet little baby blanket with knit and purl stitches in a larger checker board pattern. Can be knit with one strand, or two strands for a thicker feel. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Baby Booties intermediate/advanced - $15 Not so hard if you have some help from Susan. These sweet little booties are done on four needles and go quickly. Choose one of our stretchy baby yarns for a great gift! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Baby Sweater beginner level -$15 So you want to make something besides scarves? here you go – a delightful baby sweater involving only the knit stitch. You’ll learn to cast on stitches midway up, make button holes and how to pick up stitches. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Beginning Knitting beginner level -$10 It really isn’t hard to knit at all and if you get stuck, there’s always Susan to help. She will help you make a beautiful felted Booga Bag during the next three sessions. You’ll wind up making them for all your relatives, they are so cool! You can also make a scarf, if you think making a bag sounds too hard (but it isn’t). You will learn about yarns, casting on, the basic knit stitch, how to do a selvage edge, binding off and making an I-cord. Sounds like a lot but we take it nice and slow. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Cancer Caps for Cancer Center Patients beginner/intermediate level – no charge Just as the title says, that’s what we’re making. There is no fee for this class; it’s all going to a good cause. We meet at the shop every Saturday from 2-4. Pattern is provided. Meet others and make something for someone in need.

		Dishcloths beginner level - $15 Fast and fun! Wrap three of them up and finish with twill tape for a well-appreciated gift. Pattern is included with lesson. This class is held for 2 one-hour sessions.

	sample coming soon!	Easy Slippers beginner level - $15 Yep, easy and so cute. Make them for a great gift or keep for yourself for toasting toes this winter. You’ll learn to decrease and sew a neat, clean seam. This class is held for 3 one-hour sessions.

		Felted Flowers intermediate level - $5 Great way to embellish purses, sweaters, you name it! Easy to make. This class is held for a one-hour session.

		Felted slippers advanced level - $15 These look very much like the German Haflinger boiled wool slippers. Make them for the whole family in crazy colors. Keep those tootsies warm this winter! Pattern not included in price of lesson ($5.00). You will learn to work on a circular needle, learn to do shortened rows and become a really good instruction reader but the effort is worth it! This class is held for 2 one-hour sessions.

		Hat beginner level -$15 Warm up your ears with this heavy winter hat! So easy to make because it’s done on single point needles. Make lots for Christmas! Done in garter stitch and stockinette stitch – very easy! This class is held for 3 one-hour sessions.

		How to Fix Knitting Mistakes and Finishing Techniques intermediate level- $10 This will make knitting more pleasurable because you’ll be able to fix your errors as you go along. Susan is still here but you can see the problem now and fix it yourself! Learn how to picked up a dropped stitch, learn about twisted stitches, holes in knitting, salvage edges and more. Learn in the finishing techniques different ways of binding off, making this larger or smaller after project is complete and sewing up neat seams. This class is held for 1 two-hour sessions.

		How to Read Patterns intermediate level- $5 You’ll learn about all those abbreviations that seem like such a mystery, know what “gauge” is and how to change it so that all your projects have a proper fit. Learn how different fibers are particular to certain projects. After this class, you’ll be ready for what you considered “too challenging” before. This class is held for 1 one-hour session.

		Let’s Make Socks - with Worsted Weight Yarn intermediate level - $20 This is a great way to begin your sock making career! Faster than regular sock weight yarn, you’ll be able to whip out a pair of socks in a weekend, understanding all the techniques necessary to make a regular, lighter weight sock for you next project. We use double-point #4 needles to knit these socks and use reinforcing yarn in the heel area if regular wool is used. These are best for lounging around the house socks or as boot liners. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Let’s Make Socks - using Circular Needles intermediate/advanced level - $20 Great way to make socks up without using traditional double-pointed needles. We will teach you how to use two circular #1 or #2 needles and how to use double pointed patterns while using this new technique. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Let’s Make Socks - knit from the Bottom Up! intermediate/advanced level - $20 Okay, usually socks are knit from the cuff down but this way negates the need for sewing the toe end shut. Instead, a clever Turkish cast on method is used on the toe and up you work to the cuff! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Mittens beginner level – $15 Learn to knit your first mittens on single point needles in this class. Great way to use scrap yarn. Great gift. They don’t take long to make once you get going. You will learn how to do ribbing, pick up stitches, decrease at the top and sew a neat seam. This class is held for 3 one-hour sessions.

		Mittens intermediate/advanced level – $15 Learn to knit your mittens with double pointed needles. Don’t be afraid of this technique, it is really quite easy, especially with Susan giving lots of hints and help. This is a great way to use yarn from other projects. Great gift. They don’t take long to make once you get going. You will learn how to do ribbing, pick up stitches, decrease at the top. This class is held for 3 one-hour sessions.

	sample coming soon!	Cabled Cardigan intermediate level - $20 Start this wonderful, warm sweater and get compliments whenever you wear it. A joy to make, it will become a cherished possession. Learn the selvage edge, ribbing, cabling, buttonholes, decreasing, increasing, and making neat seams. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

	sample coming soon!	Time to start a Sweater all levels - $25 You pick the sweater and Susan will help you all the way through! Really, making sweaters aren’t hard at all. We have some students who take our beginner’s class and their second project is a sweater! Susan will help you find the most appropriate sweater pattern for your knitting level. Start today! 	sample coming soon!	Kids Knit with Susan all levels - $25 Summer means a little more free time for kids so have them come down to Susan’s and knit! Many cool projects to choose from, depending on their level. Drop them off and pick them up in two hours or parents can stay– either way, a worthwhile time. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Fair Isle and Intarsia Knitting intermediate level - $15 Ever wondered how they incorporate all those colors into a beautiful garmet without it being all puckering and taking years to make – well come see Susan and she will show you how. This class is held for 1 two-hour session.

		Entrelac Felted Knit Purse advanced level - $25 It’s amazing – that’s all that can be said. Knit in squares one direction and then the next round is knit in the other direction. You’ll learn to knit backwards in this class, a very helpful skill when knitting other things later on too. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Lopi Felted Knit Purse beginner level - $15 Cute bag that makes a great gift too. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Sampler Afghan advanced level - $25 Lots to learn with this smattering of patterned squares that make up a beautiful afghan. We will cover six of the square patterns in this book, which needs to be purchased in addition to the class fee. For an additional class fee, we’ll finish up the other squares in the book. Definitely a winter project! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Summer Vest beginner/intermediate level - $25 Who doesn’t wear a nice cool vest when it hot outside. Knit one! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Soft Knitted Pillow beginner level - $10 Learn to make different stitches while making these great pillows. This class is held for 1 two-hour session.

		Summertime Tank beginner/intermediate level - $20 This tank is perfect to wear when it hot outside. A great asset to your wardrobe! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Learn to Make Cables intermediate level - $10 Cables are easier than they look. Learn to make cables in only an hour. You’ll learn the skills necessary to tackle patterns with ease! This class is held for 1 two-hour session.

		Baby Blanket - Lacey intermediate/advanced level - $20 Learn to make a beautiful, lacey blanket that will keep the little tykes warm and stylish! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Easy Baby Booties - Single Point Needles beginner/intermediate level - $15 These easy booties knit up fast. Choose a stretchy baby yarn for best results. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Learn to Do Lacework intermediate/advanced level - $10 Lacework is not as hard as you think! Learn the basics in this one hour session. This class is held for 1 one-hour session.

		Summertime Shawl beginner level - $15 This lightweight shawl is made using only the knit stitch. You will learn to increase rows whild making this beautiful item. This class is held for 3 one-hour sessions.

Crochet Class Descriptions
		Crocheted Flowers beginner level - $5 Great way to embellish hats, purses or make into pins. This class is held for 1 one-hour session.

		Crocheted Lacey Top intermediate/advanced level - $20 Try out some of your more advanced crocheting skills with this very cool crocheted summer tank top. Uses fairly fine gauge yarn but worth the time you put into it! This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Crocheted Seaside Vest intermediate level - $20 Very pretty, easy style that goes well with jeans. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Crocheted 70's Style Hat intermediate level - $15 Very chic and easy to make up with Susan’s help. You’ll make many more after you have made the first one. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.

		Beginning Crochet beginner level -$10 Knitting and crocheting go hand in hand, the possibilities are great! Learn to crochet and make anything from delicate filet crochet table runners to lacy sweaters and shawls. You’ll learn how to cast on, do the single crochet stitch and the double crochet stitch. This class is held for 3 two-hour sessions.
